Home Tube DIY Asylum

Do It Yourself (DIY) paradise for tube and SET project builders.

We should "break-in" any audio stuff, not only caps.

Hi.

FYI, I got a home-brew power cooker for breaking-in brandnew audio parts, e.g. my DIY 4N silver interconnects & power cords, caps, etc. Mind you, it is best to pre-run your brandnew I/P transformers before you installed them.

I would 'brew' them with high power (adjustable up to 25W rms, depending on whichever parts) widebrand white noise (up to 18KHz) for a few days NON-stop. Parts built with silver, must be brew up thoroughly beforehand.

Guess what pressure 'cooker' I use?
