Your as bad as I am..Im using denon 3520 and a nakamichi OMS7 model 2. I cant seem to justify the gutless junk out there today unless you pay 2 grand or more like your player and my cost new back in the 80s and concievably get good sound.
The whole emphasis on any piece of good electronics gear is predicated on the power supply.The new cd players for the most part have no power supply.
