502b resistor instead of vol

Im looking to replace the pot in my jolida 502b with a resistor. This calculator tells me if I am replacing a 100k attenuator that I should have a 100k in line and 46k to ground for 10db of attenuation. Does this make sense?
The idea behind this is the jolida would be more like a power amp and less like a integrated.
