I also built the Monica Dac from DIYParadise and then because of the low gain, I added the grounded grid / triode wired 7788 (premium 6688) output/buffer stage as recommended on their website. Sonically, it comes very close to my AudioNote 2.1X balanced DAC for a fraction of the cost, or maybe it's because I built it. whatever. regards, wpod
