On each of my KT88 SET monoblocks I use:
a stack of two 15Uf for 7.5uf, then thru 5hy choke feeding
parallel 47uf (94uf total) for feeding the KT88, then on thru
a 20H choke feeding a single 47uf for my driver stage.
Imperceptible hum (barely perceptible with ear pressed to 96 dB
loudspeaker)along with ample energy storage for my application.
Dynamics are powerfull and crisp. Solens are a bargain.IMO, worrying about bypassing such low esr caps as Solens with
smaller value caps borders on superstition. It will add much cost ,
and I seriously doubt there will be any sonic difference with
an A-B listening test.Good Luck.
