I do have a new to me dedicated ESR meter. I was just about out the door to go see my Dad in rehab when I read his post. I posted too short of a reply to his question. I really just wanted to respond to him by stating that I would never take a chance using any capacitor with a damaged outer protective encapsulation shell in any of my vintage gear. I bought my ESR meter in used but tested working condition from a test equipment sales company that sells on fleabay. These do seem to come up for sale on fleabay fairly regularly it seems. John
