You do not need the demons removed. I have also experienced the same sort of thing. So much so that there is a tension between the speaker building hobby and the tubes hobby. Speakers I build with high quality XO's & drivers blur the lines between SS and tubes. My best sounding speakers sound better than lesser efforts on both tubes and SS, but the differences between amps are smaller. My best speakers are not efficient, and benefit from beefy SS if I really want to crank them. At lower volumes, the edge goes to tubes to reveal the details and richness of the music.Its a quandry.
