I hate to be the second post in a row on a similar subject, but I was wondering if anyone knows the difference between the various lines of Polypropylene in Oil capacitors sold by GE.On GE's website (which I did not find all that helpful), they describe Motor Run and General Purpose AC capacitors, but they don't give any part numbers. In catalogs like Allied Electronics, I see 97F5 and 97F9 listed as "Motor Run" and 97F8 and 27L6 as "Industrial."
Is "Industrial" the same as "General Purpose AC," and is there any difference between them for our purposes: Power Supplies and Crossovers?
The only clue I see on GE's website is that is says that the General Purpose AC capacitors are intended for applications where they might see higher harmonics, while the Motor Run caps are intended just for 50/60 Hz.
Thanks,
David A.
