SteveI'll take a stab at it since no one else will.
1) plate chokes in a PPP are the OPT
unless you go parallel feed.2) grid chokes replace grid resistors - in comparison
a choke has less DC resistance and more AC resistance
than a resistor so the tube bias is more stable and with
less load on the driver stage enables a higher gain.3) input filter chokes - not a good idea since the tube
capacitance varies too much from make to make and from
batch to batch to make it reliable.4) parallel feed designs for push-pull amplifiers -
some like it & some think it's a waste of time/money for PP.
SE parafeed is definitely worth it because the OPT is smaller
and without the current/gap many problems are minimized.
In PP there is minimum gap needed and the current balances
itself so the gains are less noticeable.5) damper diode useage for cathode baising - no experience here,
heard about it but I never did anything with that design.DanL
