The splitter/driver in "El Cheapo" is quite adequate to drive a pair of ultralinear 7591As. That arrangement will yield the 30 WPC you seek.You get an "integrated" amp. A line stage is not needed. If you already own a line stage, with gain, that you "love", changing from a 12AT7 to a 6J6 as the splitter/driver will work well.
A 300 VA Plitron 077053201 power trafo will drive the voltage doubler B+ supply NICELY. Suitable O/P trafos can be sourced from Edcor (www.edcorusa.com).
