TRK 3488 Balance Control

I am interested in this Kit but have a off center listening position so need to add a balance control. Is there a way of adding a high quality control that would have the least impact to the signal. I think there is room to have the pot mounted on the left side or rear of the amp. It would not be used more than setting and forgetting.

Ideas?
