They were meant to be a semi pro portable deck that could run off a rechargeable battery. There were 2 versions, the 770-2 and the 770-4, one being a 1/2 track model and the other 1/4 track. They also had 2 speed options 3 3/4 and 7.5 and 7.5 and 15. The 1/2 track 15 ips model is the most sought after one. They are a very nice sounding machine and generally well built. The capstan motors seem to be what dies the most on these and they are un-obtainium. As far as value it depends on the version and what condition. The 15 ips 1/2 track model can be worth a few hundred dollars in primo shape and the 7.5 ips 1/4 track in primo shape might be worth 200 to 300 but sometimes they go crazy on fleabay when they come up which isn't often.Dave
