I have the GX-77 Manuals available for sale on my web site. Also, the GX-77 if it has problems in Rewinding and Fast Forward (problems most commonly seen in early sets) I also sell a Slow REW/FF Rebuild Kit to repair such problems (NO, its not the belts). This Upgrade Kit includes full step by step instructions, and requires disassembly of the set to some degree, and soldering new parts onto four of the internal circuit boards.

The GX-77, one of the last sets Akai made, can use the EE Reel Tapes TDK-SA and Maxell UD-XLII, as well as Maxell UD-XLI, TDK LX, and GX, and Audua among others...
