Excellent points Kingseiko. I'm lucky to have found a local guy who is willing to roll up his sleeves and work on the finest details my complex 3014. I too am having to replace the meters. I bought the deck locally for $300 off Craig's List and have invested a couple hundred in getting the meter coils replaced. That seems to be the problem with many of these Tandberg meters, the coils go bad. I've had some problems adjusting the levels as I test it out. The right meter records hot, but playback is cool, lower than the left side. These decks do take a bit of adjusting. BUT, the sonic capabilities of this deck - incredible!

Right now, I'm having a Phase Linear 7000 and a Luxman KX-102 serviced, and then I'll have three vintage 3 headers and set-up for making killer copies of my mixes.
