Even though it has been mentioned here previously, I noticed that there is an article in the latest issue of TV Technology concerning the demise of tape manufacturing by QUANTEGY.
"Leading Tape Maker Goes Tapeless--Quantegy ceases production of magnetic recording medium", authored by James E. O'Neal, is featured in the February 21, 2007 issue, which is not yet posted to the official site for TV Technology.
You may see it posted there any day, however: www.tvtechnology.com
Apparently ATR Magnetics, LLC, a division of ATR Services, plans to take up manufacturing some time in the future.
