I have about 2,000 that I have been accumulating since the mid 70's, mostly stuff I recorded off FM broadcasts of concerts and operas from a really great classical music station in Chicago. Some are dubs of long out of print recordings. A lot of them are invaluable, but many are not really great performances. The trouble is, it is very difficult to store them in a way that makes them easily accessible. I have been considering going through to cull the ones that are still worth listening to, but that is a big project in itself. So I have this huge stockpile of great music that doesn't get listened to very much because it is such a pain to find what I want.
