I finally got time to attempt belt replacement on my 4010S that had been sitting since I purchased it locally (from guitar teacher) and a boatload of tapes for about what you are looking to spend. I then located a 4010S in a local thrift cosmetically challenged for $20 bucks. So I have a parts machine and reference guide for the mechanics.the only thing I have left to do is source the VU lights to be complete.
I ran Get Your Mojo Workin'-Jimmie Smith, Cream - Wheels of Fire, Allman Bros- Beginnings and Eat a Peach and it performed flawlessly.
like others mentioned - it's like an old Chevy - not too $$ and plenty of parts.good luck with whichever you decide. also checkout audiokarma website
