There are plenty of choices if you set the bar high enough:
go with three-head machines, dual capstans, etc.
look for Denons, Akai, etc. they are overlooked by the
nak chasers. If you're in the US I'd stick with the Japanese
models. In the EU, you'd have better luck with Tandbergs,
Revox, grundigs, etc for units, p[arts, and repair.
note that official Nak repairs ended in the 90s. however
there are excellent repair folks here in the US. sign-up at
Naktalk if Naks are in your future. tapeheads is another site.
