I read this on an Internet audio equipment sales source:
"I can't get any sound other than a low level hum from channel (1). To be honest, I really don't know if I had it hooked up correctly but channel (1) meter deflects and the others don't using a known good tape to test. The face plates have excellent lettering, however there is some spotting that should be able to be buffed out. The unit is a great candidate for a restoration project and is being sold as one."
Seriously? Seriously?? At $150, it might be a restoration project. But at $1,800? No way! The guy probably got it for a song and is thinking he'll make a killing. Note to poster: If you want to make a killing on it, be SURE it's connected correctly, have someone properly assess the transport, and clean up the faceplate.
