Just picked one up at goodwill. plays for 5 seconds then shuts off - I'm fixing it right now - appears the drive belt for the tape counter is either broken or stretched to the point it wont drive the tape counter - and when the tape counter stops turning I'm almost positive the tape deck stops automatically. It looks very nice, and all akai decks are wekk laid out and sound fantastic, plus they have the most durable heads out there.
