I'm assuming that we are dealing with plastic welded reels as opposed to metal reels that can be unscrewed.If you want to dump a lot of [plastic] reels, here is my suggestion.
Load a 10" METAL un-screwable reel on the takeup side. Then load your small plastic on the supply. Thread the tape directly onto the takeup w/o threading it through the heads. Using each hand, hold up the idler wheels so the deck "thinks" a tape is loaded. Press and engage the "fast forward". The resulting speed will transfer a full 3600' roll in under a minute (I've done it). So a 7" partial or full should transfer out in only seconds.
Repeat until the 10" reel is full. Unscrew it and simply dump it. Continue until all your other reels are empty.
