Hello all,
I picked up a Aiwa AD-6700U cassette deck a while back. It is obvious that it needs new belts as the capsin drive has trouble getting started. There is also two rubber idlers which I can see from the inside. They look to be flat rubber that is fixed over a plastic wheel. One appears to be slipping as the take up real gets stuck during playback. The belts should not be an issue to replace, but the idlers concern me. Has anyone every worked on a deck like this or similar? Where is a good source for bells and such. I am going to need to pick up a service manual as well as I am not sure how to get to all the parts since the mechanism is packed in pretty tight.
