Found an interesting Buyer's Guide for Nakamichi on eBay.

The writer discusses his Nakamichi Cassette deck buying experience on Ebay. And offers warnings of what to watch for in the descriptions. Also as I suspected most listings are sellers trying to dump non-working decks? He says to avoid any that say "As Is" or "No Returns". He says if you really must have a Nakamichi buy from AudiogoN even though it will cost more.
I guess I was lucky as I got my Nakamichi from the Salvation Army and was able to check it out first.
