There was a seller on Ebay ;vintagemusicgear. that was parting out an rs1500. I just checked and he doesn't have anything right now but you might check again later. I think his B&M store is Mikes Music in Nashville and he has tons of pro and semi pro music related stuff. A bit pricey but not crazy. I was looking for a spare headblock assembly sans heads and he quoted $190 which aint that bad. You should see the crazy prices these machines and parts go for in Germany. There was a site there that had the headblock new with heads for over a grand! Yikes! If your in no hurry, just search the bay for rs1500/1506/1520/1700/1800 once a week and you might find a parts maven for less than the parts alone. As far as the side panels, just make them. Not that much to it and you can get the exact wood/finish you want for cheap.
