some Paul Desmond and Bob James and etc. (3 jazz tapes) for me in 1982 or so, Sony UX Pro 90, II. Wonderful sound, and yes, it was off of CD's. Dunno or don't remember his set up now, but I got him into high end at that time.So I listened to some nice sound the other day, and some tapes I made for myself (live Kansas City area Medical Arts Orchestra, mastered by me on a Revox A77, using AKG mikes hack job by me).
