Re: which is more durable TDK or Maxell? (Both good)

Hi,

I have used both for 20 to 25 years....

Its a toss up. Hard to say. I have found both to be excellent. Both durable (physically and sound wise). I have some of both that are 20 years old and still performing fine.

Alf

P.S. Are SA-X and XLII-S types still readily available where you are?

Here in Finland some newer version SAs can be easliy found, but they don't seem to be of the same quality as in the past. The sound quality is good but at least they seem to have made the packaging and case a bit cheaper. As for SA-Xs, there is music shop that sells them occasionally and they are of high quality as they have always been.
