I was not impressed. I only bought them because I had fond memories of the old Ampex cassettes. I bought a box of them and a couple of them had serious issues and were unusable. The ones that did work were OK but sound wise about the same level as run of the mill Maxell XLII's. I would try and get some NOS XLIIS's before I bought the Quantegys.
