Just wondering. I've been buying quite a few tapes off Ebay and wondered about the wisdom of doing this now that summer heat has arrived. Plucked a tape out of my mailbox yesterday (98 degrees) and let it cool down for a while before playing. All was well (tape was Chico Hamilton quintet on Pacific Jazz, just terrific), but I do wonder how much heat these things can take before some kind of meltdown occurs. Any thoughts?
