I have a very nice Teac Z-7000 that is having issues with playback of most prerecorded tapes including premium ones such as Mobile Fidelity. The tape seems to be losing contact with the head intermittently as the signal fades in and out. My tech, who is a former tech at Teac Canada as well as Revox/Studer Canada says that I need the exact replacement capstan belt for the Z-7000/6000 in order to solve this issue and that a new set of pinch rollers wouldn't hurt either. Teac Canada is now closed and I can't get the parts through Teac in the U.S. either. Does any one have any suggestions on where to source these parts? It's a beautiful machine and I really want to get it running perfectly!
