Shenendoah University was selling off older gear and I got all three of the afore mentioned decks today for........$70!!
I could test the cassette, its fine. The R2R has a capstan/pinch roller issue but the heads look great and all the other functions seem fine and point to decent motors, belts and brakes etc. Nobody had a DAT tape to test that but it is clean as are all the units really.
Oh boy now I'm going to be a pest on Tape Trail too! I see Hi-Fi Engine has the Otari manuals. Do they still have parts? All comments welcomed on getting Otari going again. Thanks in advance!
