RE: Teac reel to reels

My understanding is that the A2300SX was a later model and there was indeed a plain old A2300 (Google seems to confirm this). I have the Dolby version and it's a fine machine -- better made than the later 1000 series (which I also owned) according to my now-retired tech -- but I use the Dolby function only for playback.

I do quite a lot of dubbing from my A2300SD to my Otari MX5050 BII, and the sound quality of the dubs says a lot about the Teac's strengths.
