First, I've been active on the Asylum for many years but really on the Vinyl and Vintage asylums. A few years ago, I was given a Sony tc-640 deck that has languished in a corner for all this time. I finally have got it out and going (a new year's resolution). First, after reading, I know this is not a highly regarded deck. Yet I'm totally impressed with the sound and it's performance which rivals my vinyl in the system. I'm surprised at the fidelity of the tapes as well and am adding a few thanks to ebay. Primarily listening to classical music. More to follow as I'm only a week into having this functional and listenable.
