5 pin din connect to 4 rca Leak/Aiwa 910?

Hi guys just checking before I flush any money away.
I have an old Leak 2000 receiver ...yes I know....but I like it and it is equipped with 5 pin din plugs on the rear..I have just decided to get back in to my Cassette ways and bought an AIWA 910 3 head cassette but this has 2 x tape out rca/ 2 x tape in rca and 2 x CD.
Now I'm assuming that I can disregard the CD side of things do I just need a 5 pin din to 4 x RCA adaptor?.
At the moment if I connect the tape out to a 2 way adapter I can play tapes but if I connect the tape in the same way.....nothing.
Any help much appreciated
