I was handed two Revox B77 MKll's reel to reel machines yesterday. They were pulled from a radio station. The units are dirty, smell of smoke and since I'll have to buy a power cord, I have no idea if they work. I have a solid Technics 1520 so I doubt I'll keep the Revox units but I would like to test them out. Question is, what can I use to clean the smoke and layers of dirt off that won't ruin anything?
