Hmmmmm
My Lyrec PTR-1 surpasses any of the digital resolutions you suggest in quality of sound.
I believe people suggesting these digital formats to replace these pro R2R decks with better quality has issues with the way they put together their set-up.
Please report back what you put together and I will try to help you sort it out.
It WILL make you more happy in the end.
