If yes, then please go to Machina Dynamica's website and do it, you'll see that they write : "next, insert the disc to be upgraded in he player, push "play" and allow the disc to play for 2 seconds".I translate this into "the CD must spin in order to have an effect".
So my statement is correct to begin with. The other items in my post are relevant to quantum dots, all of them (simply check the corresponding publications, that's where "all this stuff" comes from) and it's quantum dots we are talking about (and not fly droppings), again according to either Golden Sound or Machina Dynamica.
If you are able to find that my post's items are irrelevant (to quantum dots, that is), you MUST be an expert in quantum device technology, otherwise, how would you know? If they are not relevant because it's not quantum dots we are speaking about, then you MUST know what's on the chip, so tell us.
Of course the question has an answer, the answer is that quantum material is NOT capable of doing what the manufacturer claims it is doing, period. Just for sake of completeness, I asked the examiner who works in the field of quantum dots and he confirmed that the explanation JSMR is giving is BS of the purest kind. According to him the only way that quantum material could work, perhaps, is to put it into the laser beam before the optical sensor.
Of course, if the chip contained material other than quantum dots, things would be different, but then why are we told that it's quantum dots playing the game? I will tell you, because it sounds good and the audiophile Joe Sixpack, who has never heard of that exotic stuff before, is heavily impressed, so he will open his wallet and pay.
Btw, I have a printout from Machina Dynamica's site dated March 21, 2005 and it says : "Comin soon! - How the Intelligent Chip works - the definitive explanation by Machina Dynamica". When I look now, that passage has disappeared. Any idea, why ?
