The problem is long threads that extend past the right side of the screen. Most browsers just display the page and show a scroll bar on the bottom of the screen to view the portion that extends past the right side. In the case of iPads and iPhones, Apple choose to reduce to the size of the font to attempt to show the portion to the right.

This problem exists on Digital Drive now because of the particular thread in the link below. It will disappear once that thread runs down and is moved to the next page.
