Unable to read posts after search

Greetings,
I use the search function often, find it a valuable resource, and can usually find answers to my ponderings. Lately, I can do a search and bring up a list of posts but when I open the posts the headder loads and the process stalls and the body of the message does not load(even after many minutes). The couple times I did get a full message to load I noticed a new advertising insert on the right side of the message. I'm guessing the advertising program is causing things to hang. Using Win98 and IE5. This has been going on for a couple days and I'm getting flusterated(flustered+frustrated). Is this a temporary glitch; is there a solution?
