Sponsor logos are only seen on the home page.Now look at the home page. All the links to forums are at the top. All the sponsors at the bottom. Who scrolls beyond the links to the forums? Why? And I imagine many regulars never see the home page - they probably have their favorite forum bookmarked and use that as the usual entry point into the Asylums.
Cost? Can't be much. Take a look at the number of sponsor logos on the home page. If the sponsorship fees of that many businesses can't support a web site like this then they must be paying only a nominal fee. Which is probably what it's worth given the lack of exposure they receive.
