Proposed change to "email replys" check box

Hi Rod,
I would like to suggest that you make email replies the default and allow those who do not wish to receive them deselect the email replies box.
I think that a lot of threads die prematurely because the poster failed to check the box and doesn?t know how to get back to the thread they posted in. This is particularly true for new visitors.
I don't know if this would put an undue load on server resources or not.
It would also be nice to be able to receive email updates on threads that you are interested in but do not wish to post on. I know I could post a no text post on the thread, but a simple checkbox would be a nice feature if it wouldn't over tax resources.
