To my knowledge, there has never been a HiFi club here in Syracuse/CNY area. Rochester and Buffalo had clubs, but they have disbanded as far as I know. Just not enough HiFi geeks around here I guess. The problem with HiFi clubs these days that I have seen is that some guys can't let their personal preferences (for certain types/brands of gear and or music)aside and just enjoy each others company and the coolness of all types/kinds of HiFi gear in general.
