I have been considering more and more building a high sensitivity speaker...I guess I'm wondering what your opinion would be on the upside and down sides to lower sensitivity vs. higher sensitivity besides the obvious gain in SPL. I suppose I understand that most speakers with a high sensitivity won't be able to reach as deep in the bass, because of a higher fs on woofer(being because the cones are lighter), and a limited power handling...which I suppose would not be an issue if you could be somewhere around 95dB 1w/1m...for the simple fact that you would not need alot of power. Why don't more manufactures care about sensitivity? My guess would be that it would be possible for more detail and better transient response with a speaker who's cone doesn't have to move as far front to back...not to mention reducing doppler effects.Erik
