Yup, Standard Scam...

The response is boilerplate, probably automated. Notice that the response you received could also apply to a box of used doorknobs. You expect questions, negotiations, etc. The whole "check and my shipper" independently makes it dead certain that this is a scam.

I buy and sell quite a bit on Craigslist, and when I respond to an ad I always say something personal about the item, even if I'm making a full-price offer, so the person knows I'm real. I also include my name and phone number, unless I think the seller might be a scammer.

Craigslist is terrific resource. You just need to be careful.
