If you want to have some fun, get his useless certified check and deposit it and tell him you have wired the excess money. When nothing arrives, he will express concern. Tell him to be patient, that you are sure it will soon get there. When expresses greater concern, tell him you have decided to keep all of the money he has sent. He will threaten you. By then you will have the notice that the check is not good. You then threaten him. Great fun!
