Run, don't walk, from any deal offered by someone using the e-mail address wosego@aol.com or variants thereof (this "guy" has more than one, and they're all similar). In his dealings with me he used the name "Tommy Lee."His attempted scam is the tried-and-true, "I'm on my honeymoon, so I can't send you the money myself -- but I'll have the money sent to you by a client who owes me money." Then he follows up with, "My client made a terrible mistake and sent you MORE than the purchase price -- so I'm trusting you to send me the change by wire transfer." And yadda yadda yadda.
He gave himself away in two key ways (apart from the obviousness of the above):
1) He didn't haggle on the price. Heck, I *expected* some haggling!
2) No one who was really on his honeymoon would risk castration by taking time away from his new wife and dicking around on Audiogon.Luckily the only thing this tool succeeded in stealing from me was my time.
