Re: Watch Out for Fraudulent USPS International Money Orders

I once had a buyer pay me with an international money order from England. Had to try several banks before finally finding one that would cash it (had to open a new checking account at that bank in order to deposit the money order).

Try a few more banks and see if anyone will take it.

I know with U.S. and Canadian postal office money orders, the post office usually keeps a record of which money orders have been purchased, and they can check if the money order is real or fake.

If the amount is too large to be paid out from the post office, can't you at least ask them to check the authenticity of the money order for you?
