No one is taking sides just asking a simple question so as to know what they replied or gave as a reason. You have not stated that they refused to co-operate, thus so far they would probably only be to happy to assist you and resolve the issue.....so did they refuse or did you just not ask.
Companies do sometimes get it wrong but dont can them till you have advised and listened.
Then you can rightly complain and advise the forum to be aware.
