In these types of scams, the money order or cashier's check is *always* a counterfeit. Some banks may clear funds prior to full verification (particularly so with non-personal checks), so your account balance may reflect the deposited funds within 24 hours. Of course, a few days or weeks later, the bank will notify you of the fraudalent payment and hold you wholly responsible.And even if they do discover it is a counterfeit prior clearing the funds, you're now on their lovely list of customers who have attempted to deposit/issue counterfeit documents.
Long story short .... don't bother trying to con a scammer, and steer clear of any odd arrangements or too-good-to-be-true offers.
