So two things I need to acquire in the future are the Sarah `Vaughan in Hi-Fi` CD, and a PC - loved the link and the pictures of your system. Unfortunately I`m sat here using my TV to surf the net, so no sound-card to listen to any clips of Sarah - be assured that I have already added her name to my rapidly growing list of `must try` artists (Loreena McKennitt and Celeste Krenz also included) which I`ll be hunting down, once I have the means to listen to them seriously that is - please God, next week? Back to your own system now; most of the stuff is foreign to me - literally that is, but I`d have loved the chance to have a listen as if it sounds as good as it looks, it must be quite an experience. Narrow speakers are usually better at `disappearing` sonically, the little Totems and Revel Gems were the best I`ve heard in this respect, whereas my massive Tannoys have a well defined sweet-spot which demands my occupation. It sounds as if you`re intent on horns though, 100dB+ sensitivity has made your mind up for you, but try and listen to Tannoys before you buy will you? Again, it`s a matter of taste and you may have already auditioned, but the 15" Dual Concentric Drivers are highly sought after in the Far East where they`re a favourite with valve-users. The main strength is that the bass and mid-range come from a single point source, so no phase-alignment errors; the large driver ensures that most bass comes from the driver rather than from the reflex port, again resulting in more cohesion and speed. At around 96dB sensitivity they could suit you, but you`ll have more idea of your amps capabilities than I.
