About converting Cary 572 mkII monos to 300B

Hello Set asylum. This subject was covered here quite a few years ago. I am asking again to see if any fresh or contradictory insights pop up.

Could any of you familiar with Cary SET amps comment on converting 572 MkII monos to 300SE mkII? Would a different transformer be necessary? And about the input and driver tubes; more recent versions of the 300SE's use 6SL7's while older versions use 6SN7's. I prefer 6SN7's purely for the sonics, I am not knowledgeable enough about circuits to know if Cary changed for technical reasons. Any thoughts or informed opinions would be appreciated.

Thank you
